Primer amor

First Love,

Hello there dear you! I´ve spent a couple of days away from my sewing machine and, you know what? I´ve realised how much I was missing playing in my art journal. As I was telling you in my profile, sewing is a fairly recent discovery. My sister-in-law Maricarmen had the great idea of giving me a sewing machine as a present, and although I used to watch it with suspicious eyes (the machine, not my sis´-in-law), I´ve grown fond of it (of my sis´-in-law too) and my head is spinning with all the ideas bubbling in my heads. So, what is the problem, you´ll ask yourself? Well, it´s been months since I last touched a brush, my paints, art journal, easel... And guess what? Yesterday I went back to that first love (I am talking about painting, hey, not about boyfriend, just imagine hubby´s face otherwise!) and I would like to share that return with you. What do you think? This is my style, with colours and obviously, not realistic. I like illustration and leave space for imagination. Hope you´ll like it and feel free to leave a comment, whatever you wish to express.

  1. It's fanatstic work and you do the skin tones wonderfully.
There is a challenge that you may be interested in called 29 faces in May and it is good to keep the creative energy flowing. You should think about joining in :)

    1. Palma, thanks for your comment. Yes I have seen the challenge on your blog and FB page and it is very tempting, but I am afraid I will not be able to keep up the pace and make one per day. Two days a week I am out all day and these are days I won´t do nor post anything...Will re-read the challenge and see if I can skip a few days. Thanks for talking about that challenge.
